The exhibition Fussball:Football by Harun Farocki opens on 13th of October, at Oslo S 13.00 and at the Museum of Contemporary Art at 15.00. The exhibition is produced in collaboration with the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design.
The German filmdirector Harun Farocki was allowed access to all the footage of the of the 2006 World Cup Final, from FIFA and from surveillance cameraes. Together with his own film material, Farocki has created a video installation making the World Cup Final a work of art.
The exhibtion is presented in collaboration with the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design.
The video called “Deep Play”by Farocki presents a new take om the Final, with mobile graphs, activity levels of players and schematical takes on the game in a total digital analysis. The unforgettable knocking down of Zinédine Zidane is also fully presented.
A special version of the video installation is presented at Oslo S, on screens at the Airport Express terminal and by the underground exit in the northern end of the station.
“Melouda Fouled” is presented on the facades by the main entrance and by the Airport Express entrance.
A free paper containing the artists journal is distributed throughout the station.
