Hadley 1753 makeover at Oslo S

24.5.2006 - 24.5.2007
Oslo S

The wind tunnel Hadley 1753 opened for the first time in 2004. The artist Stefan Christiansen has developed en new version of Hadley 1753.

Hadley 1753 is specially made for the Ballustrade at Oslo S and may be experienced from the Fordelingshallen.
The installation consists of some 20 wind sensitive objects such as propellers, wind direction indicators and wind socks. The objects vary in size and all of them are red. The objects are situated in a kind of abstracted landscape that may look like a horizontal line from a distance. The fans shift in blowing in each direction, so that the direction of the wind shifts at regular intervals from the right to the left and the opposite.

The project was produced by Rom for kunst by Kulturbyrået Mesén.
