Maria Miesenberger (b. 1965) is a Swedish artist who works with sculpture and photography. She is a graduate of Konstfack in Stockholm and Parsons School of Design in New York. Her sculptures and installations often pick up themes from childhood, memories and absence. She herself puts it this way: “I consider questions that are important and interesting to me; such as how we are shaped as individuals, how we liberate ourselves and develop. A large part of my art is about finding a language, a way of expressing myself that I do not find in the written or spoken word."
