Have you ever gazed up at the night sky and wondered about the size of it all? It is said that there are more stars in the universe than sand grains on Earth, and that it would take more than 3000 years to count the stars in our galaxy. It is assumed that there are 100 billion galaxies in total, covering an area of 46 billion light years in each direction from the Earth. Astronomy, stars and planets, as well as landscape and biology are recurrent in Javier Barrios' work.

The work Distance of Everything is made especially for the Airport Express Terminal. Barrios uses a technique where he paints on thin, back-lit foil, to give the artwork the impression of glowing. Measuring 7 meters in diameter and positioned such as to let you come close it, Distance of Everything invites you to look into it and see yourself in relation to it.
